Tardiness is to be avoided as it
disrupts the work and progress of others

When late, student will wait at
the door for the teacher's permission to enter the studio;
DO NOT walk in during the middle of an exercise. At the teacher's discretion, a
tardy student may be asked to sit and observe the remainder of class. This is
not a punishment for the student but a precaution
against
injury

Teachers reserve
the right to dismiss any student who repeatedly disrupts the class
|

No food or gum
allowed in the studio

CLASS
MAKE UPS
Please notify the office when
student is unable to attend classes

Classes missed due to
unavoidable circumstance may be made up

Call the studio for alternate
class times
|

Missed classes must be made up
before the end of each semester

There is no refund for missed classes and they may not be
accumulated and taken in lieu of tuition

DROPPED

If you wish to
drop a class, you are responsible for notifying the studio in writing

Please DO NOT assume that the
teacher will take care of the matter or that we will assume you have dropped

You are responsible for tuition until we receive written notification

SAFETY
The well being of our students
is of the utmost concern to us. Please escort young dancers from the car
to and from the studio. Dancers waiting for a ride are asked to remain
inside the studio. Please have rides arrive on time. Purses, jewelry and other
valuables should not be left unattended in the dressing room or lobby. HAD will not be responsible for loss or theft of personal items.
Younger
children are not allowed office area or in the studios and should never be
left
unattended.
dress code
The following requirements are strictly enforced. We expect both parents
and students to make the effort to come to class properly dressed.
Students will receive notification from their teachers to be shown to
their parents when they fail to comply. After
three infractions, teachers may refuse a student admittance to class. Please cooperate with us; dressing correctly and
neatly is an important dance discipline and affects the teachers' ability
to teach effectively.
Hair

All hair must be secured back and out of
the face |

Hair must be worn in a bun for all
levels of Ballet: I through VI |

Hair must be worn in a well-secured
ponytail for jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, creative movement, and all
levels of combinations |
Attire
Creative Movement
– Black leotard, no tights or shoes.
Pre-Ballet – Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic well
sewn.
Combination I, II, III and Ballet I – Black leotard, pink tights,
pink ballet shoes with elastic well sewn on, black tap shoes - no ribbons (Combination
classes only)
Ballet II – Navy leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
Ballet III – Royal blue leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
Ballet IV – Burgandy leotard, pink tights with seams
Ballet V – Purple leotard, pink tights with seams
Ballet VI – Black leotard, pink tights with seams
Tap – Black leotard, pink or black tights, black tap shoes with
elastic or velcro instead of ribbons.
Jazz and Modern – Black leotard or unitard, black footless tights;
jazz pants may be worn over leotard and tights; bare feet for lower levels; jazz shoes
on recommendation from teacher (Bloch or Capezio with split sole; no jazz
sneakers)
Hip Hop and Jazz/Hip Hop – Black leotard, black jazz pants, black
jazz sneakers
Boys Ballet – Plain white T-shirt, black tights, white socks,
black ballet shoes
Please, for your own SAFETY, dancers should
wear street clothes to and from the studio.
